Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the affected product poses an unreasonable risk of fire.    As of February 14, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled glazed ceramic plates contain lead in excess of allowable limits. Lead is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to lead and cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths. As of March 21, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada and in the United States.

Health Canada's sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled Elin Dessert Plates contain cadmium in excess of allowable limits. Cadmium is highly toxic, especially to children. A range of serious health effects have been associated with exposure to cadmium, including anemia, vomiting, diarrhea, serious brain injury, convulsions, coma, as well as effects related to the liver, kidneys, heart and immune system. In extreme cases, there have been deaths.  As of March 21, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The heads of the Donald Duck and Daisy Duck figures can become detached during use and pose a choking hazard. As of March 21, 2024, the company has received no reports of product detachments or injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 3 reports of the heads detaching from the Donald Duck or Daisy Duck figures. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled products do not meet the labelling and child-resistant packaging requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The lack of appropriate labelling information and child-resistant packaging could result in unintentional exposure to the products and lead to serious illness or injury. As of March 1, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The Air Fryers may overheat, and handles may melt or break, posing a potential fire or burn hazard. In addition, the air fryer ovens may overheat and glass on doors may break, posing a potential fire, burn or laceration hazard.  As of February 20, 2024, the company has received 6 reports of incidents of the handles on the air fryers melting or breaking and 1 report of incident of the glass breaking on the Air Fryer Ovens in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 24 reports of overheating/melting or glass shattering, including six reports of air fryers catching on fire, and no reports of injuries or property damage.

The recalled products do not meet the labelling requirements of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The lack of appropriate labelling information could result in unintended exposure to the products and lead to serious illness or injury. As of February 28, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injury.

Health Canada has determined that the recalled roller shade does not meet the Corded Window Coverings Regulations and pose a strangulation hazard. Young children may pull looped chain around their neck, causing a strangulation hazard and even death.  In addition, the products can also release small parts that present a choking hazard to young children. Children can become entangled in blinds cords, which can quickly lead to strangulation and even death. Health Canada recommends cordless window coverings. The bicycle headtube/downtube can separate from the frame, posing a fall hazard to the rider. As of March 7, 2024, the company has received no reports of bicycle headtube/downtube separating from the frame in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 1 report of the weld being damaged and no reports of injuries.

The plastic pieces on the end of the drawstrings at the pant waist can detach posing a choking hazard. As of February 29, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the affected product poses an unreasonable risk of electric shock. As of February 22, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

The adapter’s male connector could become loose during cable management and system use, overheat, and melt into the GPU, posing fire and burn hazards. As of February 26, 2024, the company has received  50 reports of melting incidents in Canada. No injuries have been reported.

Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that the affected product poses an unreasonable risk of electric shock. As of February 27, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The recalled baby walkers are banned in Canada and may pose an injury hazard. Children in baby walkers are exposed to hazards that would not normally be accessible if the child were not supported by the walker, posing a variety of risks of injury to the child. Children in baby walkers can also fall down the stairs, which could result in injury or death. As of March 3, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.

The recalled products do not have the proper consumer chemical labelling and the child-resistant packaging required by of the Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations, 2001 under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act. The Akfix 705 Universal Fast Adhesive and Activator were labelled with the health and safety information on hazardous products intended for use, handling, or storage in Canadian workplaces, and lack the symbols and warnings required for consumer chemicals. Health Canada has evidence of sale of the products to consumers and this lack of appropriate labelling and child-resistant packaging could result in unintended exposure to these products and lead to serious illness or injury, or death. As of February 26, 2024, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
