Funded by the Government of Ontario, the Better Outcomes Registry & Network (BORN) is Ontario's prescribed perinatal, newborn and child registry with the role of facilitating quality care for families across the province. Risk Factors for Healthy Child Development Snapshot

https://www.publichealthontario.ca/en/Data-and-Analysis/Reproductive-and-Child-Health/Healthy-Child-Development

Snapshots are a collection of interactive map-based dashboards showing both geographic and temporal trends for key public health indicators by public health unit (PHU) and Ontario overall. Select Snapshots include other sub-provincial geographies where available. All Snapshots provide dynamically linked tables, graphs, and maps with pre-calculated statistics.

Snapshots use Core Indicators developed by the Association of Public Health Epidemiologists in Ontario (APHEO), where available. These snapshots are based on HBHC screen information and include the following:

  • Infant’s mother is a single parent;
  • No designated primary care provider for mother and/or infant;
  • No OHIP number for mother;
  • Infants with families in need of newcomer support;
  • Infants with families who have concerns about money;
  • Parent or partner with mental illness;
  • Parent or partner with disability;
  • Involvement with Child Protection Services
