📚 Professional Learning Opportunity: Certificate in the Essentials of Family Support
Family Supports Institute Ontario (FSIO) is offering its 9-week professional certificate program, The Essentials of Family Support, with online sessions running Fall/Winter 2025–2026 and Spring 2026.
The program provides a strong foundation in the principles and practice of family support, with modules covering:

The history and theory of family support programs

Reflective practice and self-awareness

Engaging contemporary families and addressing intersecting issues such as poverty, race, and mental health

Family empowerment, engagement, and community connections
-
Supporting families during times of crisis and evaluating program impact
Sessions are led by experienced RECEs and Family Support Practitioners, and participants receive certificates for each module completed (useful for CPL documentation).
💻 Sessions take place via Zoom, evenings from 6:30–8:30 pm.
